Point it is a project about communication and miscommunication. Starting point will be some one’s verbal description of a place, a location. Without an image - a photograph or a drawing - it is hard to imagine what the place looks like. What happens when you try to go out and find what some one has told you? Will you be able to find the location, or will you find a place of your own imagination? It is quite possible that in reality there are two places which fit one description.
The students will be asked to photograph the places they think they’ve been told about, and we will show each other those pictures. Finally, we will visit the places we have photographed and talked about. How hard is it to match reality with words?
