Renaldi Zefi - Force.NEW
The general idea for this project is based on the Newton’s Laws of Motion and
his Theory of Colour, by proposing the Horst building as the monument.
Sensors will be placed on top of the building to measure the structural
vibration/deformation of the building caused by wind loads. The measurement
will be multiplied to some extent and translated into synchronized projection
of lights on the surface of the front side of the building. There will be a set
of four colours: violet, green/cyan, yellow, red, and one white colour in the
middle.
About 12 thick fiber cables will be carefully located to illuminate the structures,
which controlled from the main lighting system. Those illuminated fiber cables
will change the colour from left to right or vice versa if the sensor detected
any horizontal movements. It will be also possible that the changing of colour
following the spectrum of visible light. According to the measurement of the
vibration, the light will flash faster and brighter if the intensity is strong and
goes the opposite if the intensity is weak. This installation hopefully can give
sort of a highlight that building is not really a rigid and massive form.
