Tue May 10: Departure for İstanbul

The others went by bus to Diyarbakır, the people of the village were waving us goodbye and it was a kind of strange to leave this place that became so familiar in such a short time.
There was a misunderstanding about the travel agency that accompanied us to airport. They assured Alite and Bouchaib that the plane would wait for us, but this message did not reach the rest of the bus so people start desperately looking at their tickets. We just were in time to catch the plane.
Bassam and Ricardo arrived after a very interesting journey at about 11.30 at the hotel, the flyers about an hour later.
This was our last afternoon and evening (a bus would pick us up at 2.30!) in İstanbul which seems to be a different city after our stay in the south east of Turkey. Some went for souvenirs (finishing their last liras), for meals, for Aya Sofia (at last), and some thought it was no use to go to bed and they stayed up till the coffee and cake (at 2.00) from the hotel.
