Fri May 6: Mor Yakup-Midyat-Salah
The bus went today for Mardin, some were dropped in Midyat, some stayed in Salah/Mor Yakup.
Luisa,
Bruno and
Sara went to visit a primary school and work on their project with the students and teachers
that they met the day before.
Teresa went with Bouchaib to a coffee-tea house to film for her project.
Kor was since a few days working with the students at the monastery which was very much appreciated by
the nuns.
The priest was busy with the garden and the new construction of the monastery.
For dinner we went to Midyat and celebrated Gerco’s birthday with a meal offered by DAI.
While waiting for Said after the dinner we had the first serious blackout in Midyat. The lights went
out, and stayed out (also in the monastery) for the next six hours.
